Surfin' performs at The Grove Theatre on November 11th.

The Grove Theatre presents Surfin', a faithful recreation of what it would have been like to see The Beach Boys live, in concert, in their prime. The incomparable beauty of the vocal harmonies, the crashing back beat of Dennis Wilson's drums, the soaring surf guitar of Carl Wilson and the genius of BrIan Wilson's music. The uniband choreography, the Fender guitar line up, the famous custom striped shirts, right down to the black suede Beach Boys' boots, it's all here.

In 1961, the world was about to be introduced to a new sound created by five boys in the garage of their family home in Hawthorne, California. Their first single, "Safari", was released in December of 1061 and started the "Endless Summer" of 1962 with a sound that would change the landscape of recorded music. BrIan Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine and Dennis Wilson were the five elements that made up America's first supergroup, The Beach Boys.

The Surfin' band is made up of five Los Angeles musicians who rehearse several nights a week to duplicate the intricate harmonies of America's favorite band. "There are very few Beach Boys tributes because of the difficulty of recreating The Beach Boys' harmonies", said manager Brian Beirne, who was a radio personality on Los Angeles oldies station KRTH 101 for 30 years.

Surfin' has taken great care to preserve the honor and integrity of the music of The Beach Boys and delivers a show that will leave you with a mile wide smile, a jump in your step and a feeling of joy in your heart. "Surfin' was created out of a love for The Beach Boys and the happiness their music provides," said Beirne.

Surfin' performs at The Grove Theatre on Saturday, November 11th at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $30/$40 and may be purchased at the box office, online at www.grovetheatre.com, by calling (909) 920 - 4343 or at the door. The show is appropriate for all ages. The Grove Theatre is located at 276 E. Ninth Street, Upland, CA 91786.
