April 14th, for one night only, The Grove Theatre presents The Perfect Gentlemen, whose harmonies and humor go back to the days of Vaudeville. The group recreates the close harmonies of such groups as The Ink Spots and the Pied Pipers. The Perfect Gentlemen shift between vocal styles, singing a cappella, accompanied by guitar or ukulele, or playing the antique Deagan Organ Chimes. The group's signature piece, Salute to the 20th Century, is a humorous take on the de-evolution of music over the last century, illustrated by singing the same song in the style of Barbershop, Dixieland, Blues, Big Band, Doo-Wop, Bluegrass, Disco, Techno Punk, and Rap, complete with visuals.

The Perfect Gentlemen is made up of four performers whose members previously performed with groups such as the Dapper Dans of Disneyland, the 1930's-era vocal jazz group Vocalworks, the New Tradition of the Barbershop Harmony Society and touring stage musicals of City of Angels and Forever Plaid.

Formed in 1998, The Perfect Gentlemen has performed shows in concert halls and fine arts
venues all across the U.S., made several concert tours of the United Kingdom, played numerous
cities across Brazil with Jazz Festival 2006, and headlined aboard cruise ships on the Holland
America Line. Television appearances include Gilmore Girls, the ESPY Awards, and Gene
Simmons Family Jewels. In 2002, the group was named the "Best A Cappella Vocal Group" in
the U.S. by winning the National Harmony Sweepstakes, also winning the David Lichtman Award for Best Original Arrangement with Salute to the 20th Century and being selected as the "Audience Favorite."

The Perfect Gentlemen is at The Grove Theatre, 276 E 9th Street, Upland, CA 91786 on Saturday, April 14th, at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and $15. Senior and group discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased by calling or visiting the Box Office, or by visiting The Grove's website at http://www.grovetheatre.com.
