Producers Christopher Amitrano, Peter Breitmayer, and Alexandra Hulme, are proud to present ALMOST, MAINE - By playwright John Cariani and directed by Martin Papazian. Opening December 5th, for a limited engagement at The Hudson Mainstage.

Almost, Maine, a town that's so far north, it's almost not in the United States - It's almost in Canada. And it almost doesn't exist. Because its residents never got around to getting organized. So, it's just...Almost. One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the northern lights hover in the sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same. ALMOST, MAINE: It's love. But not quite.

In this Los Angeles production, director Martin Papazian leads his ensemble and audiences alike through the story of nine couples falling in and out of love in this beautifully poetic and magical love story.

Featuring Allison Tolman ("Fargo"), Peter Breitmayer ("Fargo"), Alex Desert ("Swingers"), Marina Benedict ("Flesh and Bone"), Martin Papazian ("Jarhead"), Dan Warner, Lester Purry, Nell Teare, Laura Marie Steigers, Alexandra Hulme, Tyne Stecklien, Misa Moosekian, Samantha Sloyan ("Scandal"), Devin Crittenden, Travis Myers, John Lacy, Steve Fife.

Los Angeles theater veteran Martin Papazian, alongside producer/star Christopher Amitrano, spearheaded the Los Angeles Premiere of the most recent Tony-nominated play by celebrated playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis "The Motherf*cker With The Hat". The show received rave reviews, including LA Times Critics Pick and LA Weekly's Critics Choice. LA Times stated, "The wonderful cast, chosen for rightness of character quality, responds with a perfectly pitched ensemble effort. An invigorating L.A. premiere" (Los Angeles Times-Critics Pick) "Martin Papazian directs this roller coaster ride in a quick no-time-to-take-a-breath pace. Impeccably cast, tightly directed, stunningly acted Los Angeles premiere!" (Broadway World LA) "Martin Papazian directs a sterling ensemble in this gleefully blasphemous, high-velocity L.A. debut." (LA Weekly-Critics Choice)

Producer Peter Breitmayer (Pumpkin Eater Productions), arrived as a Minneapolis transplant in 1996 and hit the LA Theatre scene producing the sold out smash hit production of "BAD SEED" - Audiences could not get enough, the show was revived again and again, with the critical acclaim of LA Weekly - "GO! The audience is kept laughing to the risk of asphyxiation", and LA Times said "If you like your theatrics performed pedal-to-the-metal, then you'll no doubt get a kick out of 'Bad Seed'...riotous campfest of major proportions...what a nice and nasty treat, the 'Bad Seed!'" Since then, Peter has worked as a very successful actor as well, with the likes of The Coen Brothers and Clint Eastwood. He's that "other insurance guy" Bill, on the Progressive ads, as well as recurring on the Emmy winning television show "Fargo".

The designers of Almost Maine include acclaimed television Production Designer Joseph Hodges ("24", "Terra Nova"), D.J. Moosekian, with producers Christopher Amitrano, Peter Breitmayer (Pumpkin Eater Prod), and Alexandra Hulme rounding out the production team.
