Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre presents Walt Disney's animated masterpiece "Cinderella" for a special limited engagement from tonight, August 15 through August 30 2012, announced today by Lylle Breier, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Special Events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

In addition to this limited screening, guests can enjoy a special exhibit of the modern-day Cinderella inspired slipper created by famed red-sole designer Christian Louboutin as well as a special live appearance by Cinderella before each showing of the classic Disney film.

Louboutin, whose designs are the epitome of style, power, femininity and elegance, was invited by Disney to bring "Cinderella" to life with a fashion forward twist.  As part of this collaboration, Louboutin designed a pair of "Cinderella" shoes putting his own magic touch on the world's most famous pair of slippers.

This collaboration comes on the heels of the global release of Disney's animated classic masterpiece "Cinderella" Diamond Edition on Blu-rayÔ coming to market this fall.

Daily showtimes are 10:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6.  Special group rates for parties of 20 or more, as well as special "Fairytale Packages" consisting of VIP tickets for both "Cinderella" and the El Capitan's upcoming engagement of the all-new Tinker Bell "Disney Fairies" movie "Secret of the Wings" are available by calling 1-818-845-3110.  Showtimes are subject to change.

On Saturdays and Sundays, El Capitan guests may also enjoy a Special Breakfast with Cinderella at Disney's Soda Fountain & Studio Store, and then see the 10:45 a.m. showing of the movie! Seating is limited and reservations are required.

The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special "Tiny Tot Tuesday" on August 21, at 10:45 a.m. During this special screening of "Cinderella" parents and small children can enjoy the movie in a "Tiny Tot" friendly way––complete with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels!

Commenting on the announcement, Lylle Breier, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Special Events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, said, ""We're thrilled to be bringing this beloved favorite back to the big screen. This is a wonderful chance to see one of the greatest Disney classics of all-time - for both guests who grew up with this timeless animated feature, and those who have yet to discover the wonder of this Disney masterpiece for the very first time."

Walt Disney's "Cinderella" was originally released in 1950, and went on to become one of the Studio's all-time most successful and best-loved animated classics.  "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" was nominated for a "Best Song" Academy Award, and the film received a second nomination for "Best Score."  Directed by WilFred Jackson, HaMilton Luske, and Clyde Geronimi, "Cinderella" follows the rags-to-riches story of a beautiful young girl who is reduced to being a servant by her jealous Stepmother and Stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella.

Cinderella gets the chance to escape the drudgery of her workaday world when her Fairy Godmother magically appears, gives her a beautiful dress and a magnificent coach, which allows her to go to the royal ball.  She inadvertently falls in love with the Prince, but makes a mad dash for home at midnight, the hour when the magic spell is due to end.   With only a glass slipper left behind as a clue, the Prince and his Grand Duke set out to find the shoe's rightful owner.  With the help of her little mice and bird friends, she is discovered and assured a true fairy tale ending.   "Cinderella" is based on a fairy tale written in 1697 by French author Charles Perrault.
