"I'm truly thrilled to perform my show at The Colony, as it has been a desire of mine for a long time; it's the perfect space for my show! To know we'll be benefiting this great theatre and underrepresented youth makes it even more exciting. The show will take you through the world of voice, pop culture and perhaps even your childhood."
Director of Development Heather Provost adds, "James is an unbelievable talent. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity for such a fun, fresh, and innovative show to appear on our stage while also benefiting our theatre and important programs we are trying to implement."
There will be a cocktail reception and Silent Auction beginning at 6:30pm. The performance begins at 8pm. There will also be a Meet-and-Greet with James following the show with an upgraded ticket.
Parking is covered, patrolled, abundant, and free!
James Arnold Taylor's "Talking to Myself" is a one-man show combining state-of-the-art multimedia images and sound in a live theater setting. James not only entertains the audience with his re-creations of scenes from some of Hollywood's biggest films as well, as many of the characters from his work in animation, he also educates them on what a Voice-Actor does in his little padded room talking to himself, all with creative imagery and his voice. "Talking to Myself" includes over 200 voices, 125 of them in a tour-de-force finale that brings the crowd to their feet. All by one man, one throat. It is a family friendly show that inspires, educates, and entertains! James has taken the show all over the world from Ireland and Japan to many of the states back home, including a 5 week run every year for the last 5 years at DisneyWorld, and to a sold out crowd of 5000 in 2015 for Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center.
As one of Hollywood's most prolific voice-actors James is known worldwide as the voice of many famous television and film characters, from legends like Fred Flintstone, Huckleberry Hound, and Wile E. Coyote to newer hits like Leonard the Ninja Turtle, Johnny Test, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ratchet in the animated 3D feature film "Ratchet & Clank" based on the wildly popular video game series.

Fox, Jay Baruchel, and Ewan McGregor, to name only a few... he's even the voice of the Strawberry Mini Wheat!
He has voiced an entire league of superheroes: Spider-Man, Ice-Man, The Human Torch, The Flash, The Silver Surfer, Green Arrow, Thor, Iron Man, Magneto, and even Professor X, and brings many of them to life on stage!
James most recently lent his voice to 2 of the biggest films of all time "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" as various Stormtroopers, aliens, Imperials, and more. Other film projects include Buffalo Bob in the 2017 feature film Animal Crackers, The Flash in the new Lego DC Comics Super Heroes film series, and the hit Voice-Over documentary, "I Know That Voice."
On television James plays both Yondu and Cosmo in the new Animated Series "Guardians of the Galaxy," Boppy and Carl on "Doc McStuffins," Roofhowse in "Club Penguin," and The Leader in "Hulk: and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H." He reprised his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for the hit Disney XD series "Star Wars: Rebels."
In video games he's known as the voice of Tidus from the Final Fantasy series, but also as comic book legends Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Professor X, Magneto, Iceman, The Flash, and more. James has done several USO tours performing his stage show for our troops and their families, and was the host for Disney's Star Wars Weekends 5 years in a row.
James has published his first book, "JAT 365," a daily reader of inspirations and motivations for the pursuit of your dreams. He has also shot a video version of the book as daily inspiration for his fans on his new YouTube Channel which also takes you behind the scenes of his life as a Hollywood Voice-Actor.
