A tradition in New York at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting since 1994, the Shakespeare Benefit will be hosted for the second year here in Los Angeles! The Art of Acting Studio will host the fundraiser for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS on Sunday, April 24th at 3pm and 7pm.

The production will include Shakespeare scenes, monologues, sonnets, and songs featuring current students, alumni, administration and faculty. This is a pay-what-you-can event, and all proceeds will benefit BC/EFA. The Stella Adler Studio of Acting has donated over $90,000 since the benefit's inception over two decades ago.

Founded in 1949, the Stella Adler Studio New York & the Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles occupy a unique place in the history of both theater and actor training in the United States. Rooted in the spirit of Stella Adler, and the insight that growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous, students are challenged on every level by world-class faculty and by a mission to nurture theater artists so that they value humanity, their own and others, as their first priority, while bringing art and education to the community.

In Los Angeles, the studio's name is the Art of Acting Studio, named after Stella Adler's most famous book; for more information, visit www.artofactingstudio.com.
