Telsey and Co., casting office for the new Broadway production of ANNIE, will hold an open call in Los Angeles today, July 15, for girls ages 6-12 to audition for the roles of Annie and the orphans. The production, directed by Tony Award-winner James Lapine, will open in fall 2012 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced.
"We saw great talent at our recent New York City open call, with 1,248 girls turning out to audition. I cannot wait to see the talent we find in Los Angeles, as we continue our search for Annie and the orphans for this exciting new Broadway production," commented producer
Arielle Tepper Madover. "When I first saw the original production in 1980 at the age of eight, I wanted to be Annie and I am so thrilled that some lucky young girl will be getting that opportunity as a new generation discovers this wonderful musical."
Auditions will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday, July 15 at the United Methodist Church at 6817 Franklin Avenue in Los Angeles. Check-in time is 9:00 AM.
