The creators of THE UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL PARODY OF CRUEL INTENSIONS, currently running at Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Angeles, have another drama-filled adaptation in the wings -- THE O.C. MUSICAL.
The team revealed via Twitter earlier this week that the show will premiere as a one-night-only event on August 30th at a to-be-determined venue.
If all the love we've received today is any indication....Summer never really ends in the O.C. See you soon, August 30th!

Created by Josh Schwartz and written by Melissa Rosenberg, THE O.C. ran on FOX from 2003 to 2007 and centered on a group of teenagers and their families living in Orange County's rich, oceanside Newport Beach community. The series followed Ryan Atwood (originally played by Benjamin McKenzie), a tough kid from a broken home who is adopted by wealthy couple Sandy (ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY's Peter Gallagher) and Kirsten Cohen (Kelly Rowan), his new brother Seth (Adam Brody), the girl-next-door Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton), Seth's childhood crush Summer Roberts (Rachel Bilson), and loner Taylor Townsend (Autumn Reeser).
This melodrama is more than enough fodder for a hilarious musical!
