One of the hearts of theatre in LA, Center Theatre Group has announced its 53rd season at the Ahmanson Theatre featuring seven shows from all across the theatrical spectrum including musicals, one-person plays, the return of an iconic dance theatre piece plus one production to be announced at a later date.

"The 2019-2020 season at the Ahmanson Theatre showcases work from some of the world's finest artists and creators," said Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. "From an iconic rock star-Sting starring in his heartfelt and empowering musical 'The Last Ship'-to a pair of raconteurs direct from Broadway-John Leguizamo in 'Latin History for Morons' and Mike Birbiglia in 'The New One'-we've curated a collection of shows that are both passionate and personal."

'The Book of Mormon' will make its Ahmanson debut, as will the 2018 Tony Award-winning revival of 'Once on This Island.'

Matthew Bourne's 'Swan Lake' returns 22 years after its American premiere at the Ahmanson. Sir Matthew Bourne promises an exciting reimagining of the dance theatre piece that introduced him to Los Angeles.

The previously announced "Torch Song" will not be a part of the 2019-2020 season at the Ahmanson Theatre.
