THE GALE Returns To The Groundlings Theatre  ImageAfter a sold-out year long run, The GALE returns to the world-famous Groundlings Theatre with five shows scheduled for 2018. This 90-minute improv show celebrates the beautiful (though sometimes rough) LGBTQ journey.

Created by Groundling Chris Eckert and directed by alumni, Karen Maruyama.

The cast members will be announced soon. Previous cast members and special guests have included: Brian Jordan Alvarez, Brianna Baker, Michael Churven, Navaris Darson, Desi Dennis-Dylan, Drew Droege, Fortune Feimster, Liz Feldman, Jimmy Fowlie, Brian Gallivan, Lucas Hazlett, Tom Lenk, Sam Pancake, Jim Rash, Diona Reasonover, Stephanie Ritter, Nico Santos, Jason Michael Snow, Alex Staggs, Steve Szlaga, Greg Worswick, Pete Zias and many others.

The Groundlings Theatre is an improvisation and sketch comedy theatre that has been entertaining LA audiences for 42 years. They are a non-profit organization founded by Gary Austin in 1974. A "Groundling" is one of the 30 company members who write and perform in the theatre's shows and teach classes at the Groundling's School. The school has been the foremost comedy training ground in Hollywood and the springboard for countless careers including comic geniuses from film and television such as Jennifer Coolidge, Will Ferrell, Ana Gasteyer, Kathy Griffin, Cheryl Hines, Chris Kattan, Lisa Kudrow, Phil LaMarr, Jon Lovitz, Karen Maruyama, Melissa McCarthy, Michael McDonald, Paul Reubens, Maya Rudolph, Mindy Sterling and Kristen Wiig, among others. In addition to being comedy performers, Groundlings members and alumni hold writing positions on many of Hollywood's top television and film projects.
