General Director Plácido Domingo announced that soprano Renée Fleming, one of the most beloved and celebrated singers of her generation, will return to LA Opera for a recital on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, joined by her frequent collaborator, pianist Hartmut Höll. The recital will take place at 7:30pm at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, 90012).

"Unquestionably, Renée is one of the greatest stars in opera today, and our audiences are always eager to welcome her back to Los Angeles," said Mr. Domingo. "She has earned the respect and admiration of her fans, colleagues and the press for her supreme musicianship, intelligence, vocal glamour and interpretive abilities."

"It is always a genuine thrill to return to LA Opera and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and encounter such a devoted, enthusiastic audience at the heart of the entertainment capital of the world," said Ms. Fleming.

Renée Fleming made her company stage debut in 2006 as Violetta in La Traviata, a performance recorded and released on DVD. She returned in 2014 as Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire and in 2016 for a concert with Plácido Domingo and James Conlon. Her LA Opera appearances also include solo recitals in 2002, 2005 and 2009; a 2003 Plácido Domingo & Friends concert; and a 2013 dual recital (presented in partnership with the LA Philharmonic) with mezzo-soprano Susan Graham.
