Stuart Rogers PRODUCTIONS is thrilled to present a world premiere play, THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS, written by Adam Mervis and directed by Thomas Burr. THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS will preview on Saturday, September 24 and open on Friday, September 30 at 8pm and run through Saturday, November 4 at the Raven Theatre, 5233 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

One part Woody Allen, one part David Mamet, THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS is a romantic dram-edy that is also a skewering of the Hollywood writing process. When Roy and Mark, struggling copywriters in Silver Lake, begin dating Jamie and Clare, smart, successful, romantically challenged career women, they put in motion a series of events that forces everyone to confront the distance between their youthful dreams, and reality, in other words...grow-up.

ADAM MERVIS (Playwright) hails from New York City, where he started his career as an actor and playwright. The critical success of his Off-Broadway play The Revolutionaries brought him to the attention of Hollywood and he then took his talents to Los Angeles, where his first film, The Philly Kid, was produced by Joel Silver and released by Warner Brothers. He currently is at work on an original TV series for USA, Midnights, and a feature film titled, 17 Bridges which is being produced by the Russo Brothers and STX.

THOMAS BURR (Director) Over more than a decade, L.A. native Thomas Burr has been seen in a number of NoHo Theater Productions, consistently under the direction of Stuart Rogers and his company Theater Tribe, which in recent years has developed into The Production Wing. He played James in the award winning production of Landford Wilson's "Book of Days," Paulie in "Sympathetic Magic," and John in Greenberg's "The Violet Hour," and he continues to remain active in the company both acting and now directing. Recently assisting Mike Silver's direction of "Dinner with Friends", as well as a limited engagement of "Brilliant Traces", Thomas is thrilled to bring his energy, urgency and passion to Adam Mervis' fresh and vibrant new play.

THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS will feature (in alphabetical order): Tommy Burr, Jeff Kerr McGivney, Adam Mervis, She Ne Nelson, Kate Spare and Brice Williams.

The Design Team for THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS is as follows: Set Design by Natalia Hertz; Lighting by Matthew Dresnick; Sound Design by Jason Lee. The Stage Manager is Gary Thomas. THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS is produced by Stuart Rogers and Brice Williams.

THE PORTMAN DELUSIONS will preview on Saturday, September 24 and open on Friday, September 30 at 8pm and run through Saturday, November 4 at the Raven Theatre, 5233 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm. Ticket prices are $25. Previews are $15. For tickets, please visit www.brownpapertickets.com to purchase tickets online or to view complete schedule.
