After a brief summer hiatus, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA returns next month for a sizzling series of intimate concerts that promise to make August hotter than ever! Considered to be among the most gifted performers in Los Angeles, Sterling's Upstairs is pleased to welcome Joshua Guerrero, Kara Stephens, Kelly Dodson, Josie Yount and Jon-Paul Burkhart to its stellar roster of over 150 headliners since the club's opening in June, 2006.

JOSHUA GUERRERO - SATURDAY, AUGUST 8: A relative newcomer to Los Angeles, Joshua Guerrero brings his mellifluous voice to the stage at Sterling's for his first Southern California headlining engagement. A former resident of Las Vegas, young Guerrero received critical acclaim for his uniquely rich and romantic style while performing at the world-renowned Venetian Hotel. Young Guerrero can easily be counted as a singer whose natural ability has allowed him to venture into all genres of music; in particular - Jazz, Pop, R&B, Opera, and Popera. He most recently spent a year in Macau, China performing everything from Arias to Broadway to Italian Folk songs. His musical life is inspired by such timeless artists as Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, John Legend, Elton John, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé ... to name but a few. Noted Los Angeles pianist Danny Guerrero (no relation) serves as Musical Director for the evening.

Kara Stephens - SUNDAY, AUGUST 9: From the Soul marks Kara Stephen's concert debut at Sterling's. A vocal triple threat, Kara is at home on all types of stages. In theatre, she has appeared in such productions as Grease with Danica McKellar, Pirates of Penzance, Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Bill Hutton, Jesus Christ Superstar, South Pacific, Anything Goes, and My Fair Lady with Dale Kristien. She was a member of Grammy Vocal Jazz under the direction of Quincy Jones and Glen Carlos at USC. Additionally, she was a member of Mt. San Antonio College's (Mt. SAC) "Singcopation" under the direction of Bruce Rogers (voted Best U.S. College Vocal Jazz Group by Downbeat Magazine) and the Mt. SAC Chamber Singers who toured Europe and won multiple First Place awards at the prestigious Eisteddfod Festival in Llangollen, Wales. Kara and her music have been featured in a variety of television shows including Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Osbournes, and Ally McBeal. Special Guest performers set to appear in From the Soul, include musical theatre stars Shaun Samaro, Bailey Quist, Dianne Baker, Nicole Barnhart, and Stephanie Wood. Television and Film composer Steve Lang serves as Ms. Stephens' Musical Director.

KELLY DODSON, JOSIE YOUNT and Jon Paul BURKHART - SATURDAY, AUGUST 29: Good friends and celebrated members of the much heralded Musical Theatre of Los Angeles (MTLA), Kelly Dodson, Josie Yount and Jon Paul Burkhart have joined forces to create Bitter, Party of 3 for their cabaret concert debut. Ms. Dodson has appeared as Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Cathy in The Last Five Years, and with Eden Espinoza in MTLA's Winter Gala 2008. Ms. Yount is currently co-starring as Fraulein Kost in the LA hit revival of Kander & Ebb's Cabaret. She has also co-starred in numerous musicals including Ragtime, Evita, and The Rocky Horror Show. Mr. Burkhart has wowed audiences as Jamie in The Last Five Years, Sparky in Forever Plaid and Ambrose in Hello Dolly.
