The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) and the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) have announced the return of the annual Broadway Dreams Summer Intensive being held June 18 - 25, 2017 at The Wallis in Beverly Hills, as well as its talented musical theater faculty lineup comprised of Broadway performers, directors and casting directors.
The annual weeklong intensive invites future stars of the stage to embark on a rigorous week of Broadway-caliber training - focusing on acting, vocal performance and dance-learning from the brightest and best industry professionals.
Faculty members include Emmy-nominated choreographer Spencer Liff (Spring Awakening; Hedwig and the Angry Inch;"So You Think You Can Dance"); actor Alex Newell ("Glee"); Broadway Dreams Foundation Education Director Craig D'Amico (Fiddler on the Roof; Annie Get Your Gun); actress Julie Craig (West Side Story; One Hand, One Heart); award-winning composer Bálint Varga (Houdini - Escaping Death); actor Christopher J. Hanke (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; "Odd Mom Out"); actor Nick Adams (Wicked; Priscilla: Queen of the Desert); Broadway musician and vocal coach Craig Johnson; actor and vocal coach Cris O'Bryon (Bonnie & Clyde; Hoover Comes Alive!); and casting director and Broadway Dreams Executive Director Annette Tanner.
The weeklong intensive will culminate with #cometogether, a public showcase performance event that brings students and their mentors together on stage of the Bram Goldsmith Theater on Saturday, June 24 at 7:30pm. The one-night-only special performance directed by Spencer Liff will feature a series of musical segments from popular musicals and music genres. Last year's Dreamer's Ball featured performances of such hits as Fosse's "Big Spender" from Sweet Charity, "What About Love?" from The Color Purple, and more. Tickets are now on sale at TheWallis.org, and join the Facebook event at www.facebook.com/events/110249706242345.

"With the support of committed partners like The Wallis, we are able to provide performance training, life skills building and mentorship opportunities to tomorrow's stars from today's most distinguished talents."
