Tony Award-winning star of Hairspray, Marissa Jaret Winokur, will be one of the contestants this season on "Dancing with the Stars."  When news broke of her involvement, she couldn't wait to share that experience with BroadwayWorld.com and its readers.  Marissa will be checking in from now until she wins (YAY!) or is eliminated (BOO!) with exclusive photos and a glimpse into what's going on as she takes on the other celebrities in the ultimate "dance off!"

Marissa says: "Today started off GREAT!  What a lot of you may not know is that I love wild life. And today I woke up to see two ducks in my pool. I was soooo happy I fed them.  Judah got mad because he doesn't think ducks and people should swim in the same pool - HAHA - but I LOVED IT!.

Confession time.  During rehearsal today? I totally cried!  I hope they don't use it in Monday night's show but I bet they do.  I can't believe I'll be the one crying on the show....  UGUGUGH"
