According to Variety, Indian composer of "Slumdog Millonaire" fame A.R. Rahman has teamed up with creative director Amy Tinkham to launch "Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour."

The first performance will take place on June 11 at New York's Nassau Coliseum before traveling to places around the world including Los Angeles, Washing D.C., Oslo, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Glasgow. The tour will end when it stops at London's Wembley Arena on July 26. The tour will be produced by Deepak Gattani.

A spokesperson for Rahman described the tour as "a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics."

Tinkham has worked on live concerts for the likes of Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.

Rahman's concert in January had an audience of more than 40,000 people. The tour concerts will include songs from Slumdog Millionaire as well as the Indian films Lagaan, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Dil Se, Rang De Basanti and Roja'.

Concert will also include music that Rahman was collaborating on with Michael Jackson before the King of Pop's death last year.

Rahman is the winner of two Acadamy Awards as well as a Grammy Award for his music for the film "Slumdog Millionaire."
