Back by popular demand for their twenty first anniversary season are Shakespeare Orange County's "PAY WHAT YOU WILL THURSDAYS" (as in Will Shakespeare) at Garden Grove's Festival Amphitheatre. Audiences have the opportunity to "pay what they will" for the remaining Thursday evening performance of THE TRAGEDY OF RICHARD III and three consecutive Thursday evening performances of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Audiences are treated to the magic of professional theatre in an outdoor setting with performances staged under the night sky. Parking is free, and picnic areas are available.
The company's "PAY WHAT YOU WILL" program works as follows: Patrons are invited to purchase tickets for what they think is fair, what they can afford, or just want they want to pay at the box office on designated Thursdays for that evening's performance. All purchases must be cash, and seating is based upon availability. "PAY WHAT YOU WILL" tickets cannot be reserved or purchase online. If a patron wants to reserve or pick seats, standard pricing is still available.
"PAY WHAT YOU WILL" pricing is available on Thursday evenings only. Reserved tickets for Shakespeare Orange County performances are $34.00 (Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) with $32.00 pricing for students/seniors. Reserved seating can be purchased online at www.shakespeareoc.org or in person at the Festival Amphitheatre box office from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Festival Amphitheatre is located in Euclid Park -- 12762 Main St., Garden Grove, CA. 92840.
