Santa Monica Playhouse presents the World Premiere of LOVE in the Key of C# (C sharp) or Bb(B flat)- a rockin', romantic, rambunctious, and ever so-slightly risqué musical about first love, puppy love, second-time-around love, everlasting love, love in the afternoon, love of mothers, grandmothers, men at arms, and men in our arms by the award-winning team of
Evelyn Rudie and
Chris DeCarlo now playing weekends through March 29th.
LOVE in the Key of C# or Bb is helmed by renowned director
Chris DeCarlo (12 Critic's Choice Awards) with words & music by
Evelyn Rudie ("The most talented and prolific producer-director-lyricist-composer-musician-actress in theatre!" -LA Times) and
Matthew Wrather ("A great talent!" - Seen and Heard), and choreographed by Cydne Moore. It's a delightful look at everything from the waiting game to the dating game, from breaking up to making up, from holding hands to wedding bands, and from grandparents to parents to the little ones.
A talented ensemble of six mix romance, humor and a soupcon of spice to create a highly entertaining, light-hearted musical revue that is perfect for all ages - terrific for birthdays, anniversaries, or just for having a wonderful night (or afternoon) on the town.
LOVE in the Key of C# or Bb features Nicole Cleveland (The Break-Up, WAVE Award), Katy Erin Corbell (People With Issues - Best Comedy Film, WizardWorld Film Fest),
Molly Gilman (Pinkalicious - New World Stages; originated the roles of Dr. Wink/Alison), Merri Jamison (Welcome to Happy Valley, Cannes Film Festival) and Melissa Ryan (Beauty and the Beast,Regional Tour) with a special guest appearance by
Evelyn Rudie.
