Beginning Monday, May 31, 2010 at 4:00 pm (PST), Los Angeles theatre professionals Michael Sterling & Paul Stroili take to the airwaves with STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), an all-new, 50 minute, weekly worldwide radio series devoted to coverage of the performing arts in Los Angeles and beyond.
Invited by internet sensation LATalkRadio.com to join their on-air staple of personalities, Sterling & Stroili created STATE OF THE ARTS to fill an ever-growing void in top tier media support for the performing arts. "With emphasis on LA theatre, Broadway theatre, music and dance events, and select stage spectaculars," says Sterling, "we are honored to be a part of LATalkRadio.com by offering astute reviews, insightful discussions, and live interviews with special guests both in-studio and by telephone."
"Given this opportunity," adds Stroili, "it is not only our intention to breathe new life into such media, but to proactively promote its importance and its place in the cultural landscape of Los Angeles and elsewhere."
In the months ahead, STATE OF THE ARTS will increase its coverage of the performing arts in various cities throughout California and North America. Additionally, SOTA will contribute a percentage of all sponsorship revenue to its organizations of choice: LA Stage Alliance, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, and the National Endowment Of The Arts.
Courtesy of today's innovative broadcast technology, arts enthusiasts can "drop in" to listen to their favorite stars and the creative teams behind them ... anywhere, anytime. Whether at work or at home, in the car or on a mobile phone; live or by downloads from the archives of LATalkRadio.com, and (yes) even iTunes... STATE OF THE ARTS is the perfect platform for the performing arts. Simply put, the audience for streaming internet radio is growing daily in record numbers around the globe, while its far-reaching and friendly architecture is quickly becoming the preference of numerous broadcast professionals. The energy and excitement surrounding Sterling & Stroili's STATE OF THE ARTS promises to add to the network's already broad demographics and ever-growing audience, currently registering hundreds of thousands of visitors per month; with nearly 6 million downloads per year.
