AMERICAN IDOL Top 2 finalist and former 'WICKED' cast member Adam Lambert continues to thrill audiences every week with his high-wire performances and soaring vocals.
The Los Angeles based Lambert found a creative "home" at West Hollywood's Upright Cabaret at Mark's Restaurant. The AMERICAN IDOL standout spent many an evening crooning songs in that expressive voice of his on the Upright Cabaret stage, and a few special performances were captured. In this recording Adam Lambert performs a searing version of 'Gotta Get Through This' at the LA hot spot.
This was recorded at Upright Cabaret's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Bash on Dec 31, 2008 at Upright Cabaret in West Hollywood. This special event produced by Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel starred Chad Kimball (Broadway: Lennon, Into the Woods),Leslie Odom, Jr. (Broadway: Rent, CSI, George Lucas's Red Tails), and of course, American Idol finalist Adam Lambert (Wicked, 10 Commandments) with Legendary Los Angeles Music Director Gerald Sternbach on the Baldwin keys.
Upright Cabaret is redefining the cabaret milieu for a new generation of audiences.
