This May, California's Pacific Symphony features "Cirque de la Symphonie," a fusion of Cirque acts and classical and pops favorites and its upcoming concert, Schubert's Ninth. Get a sneak peek of the preparations for these two events in the videos below!

Be dazzled by the magic of "Cirque de la Symphonie" for Pacific Symphony's pops show May 3-5, at 8 p.m. in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Hall at 615 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, Calif. 92626. Assistant Conductor Maxim Eshkenazy conducts the orchestra as aerial fliers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers and strongmen choreograph perform spectacular feats to the music.

The evening, packed with 18 exciting classical and pops favorites, includes Copland's "Fanfare for The Common Man," John William's "Harry's Wondrous World" from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," and selections from Bizet's "Carmen," Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera." The program also includes Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," Offenbach's Can-can from "Orpheus in the Underworld" and movements from Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio Espagnol."

In "Inside Schubert's Ninth," Music Director Carl St. Clair explores the "greatness" of the Ninth.

Music Director Carl St. Clair dives inside Pacific Symphony's next classical concert, "Schubert's Ninth." First, East meets West with "Sattha" by Thai composer Narong Prangcharoen, audience favorite and winner of the American Composers Competition. Then young superstar Andrew von Oeyen performs a classic piano concerto written by another young superstar, Felix Mendelssohn. Finally, Franz Schubert's ninth and final symphony, known as "The Great."

This concert takes place Thursday through Saturday, May 10-12, at 8 p.m., in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, 615 Town Center Dr. Costa Mesa, Calif. 92626. A concert preview talk starts at 7 p.m.
