In Room 105: The Highs and Lows of Janis Joplin – Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins channels Janis Joplin in this raucous new rock 'n roll musical retrospective on Joplin's turbulent life.  Check out the video!

Compared to Joplin ever since her own fast rise to stardom with the hit song "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover," Hawkins brings the iconic singer's music to life, including "Down on Me," "Piece of My Heart" and "Me and Bobby McGee." The four-piece band is headed by two-time Grammy Award-winning music producer Josh Sklair on guitar.

Sold out for its initial four-week run, Room 105 extends through December 30 at Macha Theatre in West Hollywood in advance of a 2013 tour.

Written and directed by Gigi Gaston and starring Sophie B. Hawkins as Janis Joplin, the show also features Jeremy Lucas, Bonnie McMahon, Leslie Marreo, Lou Mulford, Rae Toledo and David Veach, with musicians Josh Sklair (guitar), Ed Roth (keyboards), Daniel Pearson (bass) and Corey Coverstone (drums).

The show has been extended through Dec. 30, playing Fridays @ 8 pm, Saturdays @ 8 pm and Sundays @ 3pm.

Macha Theatre is located at 1107 N. Kings Road, West Hollywood, Calif. For tickets, call 323-960-1055 or visit www.room105musical.com.
