Falcon Theatre Founder, Garry Marshall, is thrilled to announce the Falcon Theatre's 2015-2016 5-Play Subscription Season. Falcon Theatre's 14th subscription season brings five entertaining productions to Burbank, including two collaborations with the award-winning companies Impro Theatre and Troubadour Theater Company. For the 2015-2016 season, the Falcon has also partnered with Prosecco Trattoria restaurant in Toluca Lake to give subscribers an added benefit of a discounted local dining experience.

The season begins with the critically-acclaimed Impro Theatre as they return to the Falcon with Sondheim UnScripted, directed by Dan O'Connor and Michelle Spears. Sondheim UnScripted is a completely improvised musical in the style of one of Broadway's most acclaimed artists, Stephen Sondheim. Starting with audience suggestions, the cast and musicians work together as an ensemble to improvise songs with the intricate rhymes, soaring counter melodies and complex themes that are all hallmarks of Sondheim's work, creating a wholly original, thrilling musical with every performance.

Next, the Falcon is excited to bring Scott and Hem to the stage, written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Dimitri Toscas, where F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway wrestle with the sparks of art and the perils of creativity-and the personal destruction they can reap. In this combative comedy fueled by friendship and rivalry, these two literary heavyweights reunite in 1937 at Fitzgerald's home in Hollywood's fabled Garden of Allah. There, they explore their mysterious bond and the genius that first brought them together, and ultimately tore them apart.

The Ovation Award-winning Troubadour Theater Company returns for the holidays reviving a fan-favorite, the parody of a holiday classic, Santa Claus is Comin' to Motown directed by Matt Walker. Telling the tale of Kris Kringle's (aka Santa Claus) origin, the Troubies take the jolly old man himself and send him to the land of Smokey Miracles and Supreme Temptations. Join us for what the LA Times calls a "wild and wooly romp" filled with "a careening mix of circus, theatrics and musical mayhem."

We kick 2016 into high gear, with The Complete History of America (abridged) written by Adam Long, Reed Martin & Austin Tichenor. From Washington to Watergate, from the Bering Straits to Baghdad, from New World to New World Order, this three-person comedy leaves no joke untold as it deconstructs the entire history of America in a rollercoaster ride through the quagmire that is American History, reminding us that it's not the length of your history that matters - it's what you've done with it!

The Falcon will complete the season partnering with Roger Bean Productions on The Real Housewives of Toluca Lake: The Musical, book, music & lyrics by Molly Bell, directed by Roger Bean. In this story, you'll get to meet the wives, Joanne, Babette, Penny, Lulu, and Beezus: The Real Housewives of Toluca Lake. These ladies have it all. Or do they? Scandalous surprises and bitter betrayals mix with a healthy dose of Pinot Grigio and pharmaceuticals to create this hilarious romp inspired by America's not-so-secret guilty pleasure. Come and climb the social ladder with our wives in this delicious musical parody, featuring an original score guaranteed to knock your stilettos off!

The Falcon Theatre is a 130-seat professional theatre that operates year-round in Burbank, California, built by Director/Writer/Producer Garry Marshall and his daughter Kathleen Marshall LaGambina. The Falcon opened in November of 1997 and launched its annual 5-play Subscription Series in 2002, currently produced by Kathleen and Sherry Greczmiel. Mr. Marshall founded the Falcon as a place where established artists and emerging talent can come together to create exciting work on stage.
