Ventura's Rubicon Theatre Company is delighted to announce the next stellar evening in their audience-pleasing Broadway Cabaret Series, as David Burnham, star of such hits as Wicked and The Light in the Piazza, treads the Rubicon boards for a one-night-only musical performance entitled A Broadway Holiday, teaming up with musical director Mark Vogel to create an evening that won't soon be forgotten.
Rubicon's Broadway Cabaret Series brings stage stars of national renown to Ventura and the intimate setting of RTC, offering a little slice of Broadway to an appreciative audience. Past stars of the series include Tony Award-winning star of Million Dollar Quartet Levi Kreis, stars of Les Misérables Randal Keith & Joan Almedilla, local favorites Amanda McBroom & George Ball, Phantom of the Opera stars Davis Gaines and Teri Bibb, and many more.
The evening of music will include a selection of solos from an array of crowd-pleasing Broadway hits, offered with a generous dose of holiday favorites. Following the performance, guests are invited to mingle with the star in a holiday themed reception at the theatre. Of David's stage manner, BroadwayWorld.com quipped, "To say that Burnham had the audience eating out of his palm is an understatement. The theatre world - both men and women - adore him."
