With the newly remodeled live music space nearing completion and innovative menus still being unveiled, Rockwell: Table & Stage continues their exciting summer long "Soft Opening" by presenting a reconditioned version of For The Record: John Hughes. Joining the creative team are Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles, Broadway's Avenue Q) and Chad Hodge (The Playboy Club) who have contributed a reinvented script that focuses the show around John Hughes seminal coming of age teen flicks. This fresh look at the work of the famed-director will focus on signature songs and moments from John Hughes' classics The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off with additional songs included from Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, She's Having A Baby andNational Lampoon's Vacation.
Conceived and Created by Shane Scheel and Christopher Lloyd Bratten, the "For the Record" series -- which brings a director's soundtracks to life in a stunning 360-degree livetheatrical concert experience, will turn Rockwell: Table & Stage into the ultimate 80's mix-tape. This homage to the Hughes' body of work stars a rotating cast from stage, screen and music performing "Rebel Yell," "Weird Science," "Turning Japanese," "Danke Schoen," "Twist and Shout," "Try a Little Tenderness," "I'm So Excited," "Bust A Move," and "Don't You (Forget About Me)." The talented singers/actors move throughout the space, bringing the show tableside, where you can also take advantage of the delicious cuisine and inventive cocktails available for purchase.
