Two-time Tony Award® nominee Rob McClure will say goodbye to the title role of Daniel Hillard/Euphegenia Doubtfire on October 13, 2024, after originating the role and earning a Tony nomination for his performance. He will have played over 400 performances with the show.

Taking McClure’s place as the loveable Scottish Nanny are Alex Branton and Jonathan Hoover who have performed the role previously on tour. They will be alternating the title role through the tour’s final performance on November 24, 2024, in Appleton, WI. Tickets for Rob’s final engagements and the remaining cities for 2023-2024 North American Tour can be found at www.DoubtfireBroadway.com

“It is truly special when the star of a Broadway musical takes the show on the road, and we are thrilled that audiences were able to experience Rob McClure performing this career-defining role in cities all across America for the past year,” said producer Kevin McCollum. "We are eternally grateful for his talent, leadership, and willingness to share the joy of MRS. DOUBTFIRE with so many people, and we wish him all the best on all of his future projects. Out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the kindly alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father. A hysterical and heartfelt story about holding onto your loved ones against all odds, MRS. DOUBTFIRE is the musical comedy we need right now – one that proves we’re better together.

With direction by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, the new musical comedy features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, the Tony Award nominated team behind Something Rotten! The creative team is rounded out by Choreographer  Lorin Latarro; Music Supervisor, Arranger and Orchestrator Ethan Popp; Scenic Designer David Korins; Costume Designer Catherine Zuber; Lighting Designer  Philip S. Rosenberg; Sound Design by Brian Ronanand Craig Cassidy; Hair & Wig Designer David Brian Brown; and Casting by The Telsey Office (Craig Burns, CSA).
