Rogue Artists Ensemble is closing out its first season of programming with its fourth annual holiday variety show and celebration, the Winter Fete and Telethon, when guests can eat, drink, and mingle with some of the Rogues' favorite characters on Friday, December 15 starting at 7pm at the Bootleg Theater.

Rogue Artist Ensemble's 4th annual holiday extravaganza takes the retro holiday variety show to the next puppet level. Featuring naughty and nice puppets, never-before-seen cabaret performances, original songs, kooky characters, open phone lines answered by hungry puppets, and a slew of odd-ball activities for your hands-on amusement, the Winter Fete & Telethon immerses you in the frosty, whiskey-soaked madness of the holiday spirit.

Original art and holiday gifts will also be on sale along with opportunities for immersive experiences and holiday photos. Tickets are on sale now starting at $20 at https://www.bootlegtheater.org/.

ABOUT ROGUE ARTISTS ENSEMBLE

Rogue Artists Ensemble differs from other theater companies in that it's run by a collective of multi-disciplinary artists and designers rather than by actors, writers or directors. By combining ancient storytelling techniques (music, dance, masks, puppetry) with modern technology (digital media, special effects and theatrical illusions), the Rogues cultivate a unique style of live performance unlike any other. They define the combined use of these and other underrepresented art forms as Hyper-theater. Since 2002, the Rogues have created over 20 original new works and collaborated with hundreds of artists and community members.

In 2017, Rogue Artists premiered Kaidan Project: Walls Grow Thin, an immersive experience based on Japanese ghost stories, described by the LA Times as "part haunted house, part art installation, part performance-art piece... increasingly wondrous... lovingly designed to engage a variety of senses." In 2018, the Rogues will bring a updated production of the award-winning Wood Boy Dog Fish to the new Garry Marshall Theatre.
