Chris Isaacson Presents and Matthew Herrmann will present the Los Angeles premiere of Bianca Del Rio in Peaches Christ's hit theatrical parody Sheetlejuice for one night only on Saturday, December 2, at 7pm at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.
The afterlife will be one hell of a party with everyone's favorite Queen of Mean, Bianca Del Rio, in the title role as the legendary Ghost with the Most. Written and directed by cult icon and Queen of the Midnight Mass Peaches Christ, the production arrives in LA complete with her San Francisco superstars Sister Roma, Roz Drezfalez, Lady Bear, Kat Robichaud (NBC's The Voice), Carnie Asada, Rory Davis, Will Bedell, and more to be announced.
Bianca Del Rio, the alter ego of seasoned comic Roy Haylock and Season Six winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, is a self-professed "clown in a gown." This hilariously hateful comic is known for her foul mouth and unapologetic humor, but her victims hardly have time to feel the sting before she zips on to the next topic - and Bianca is quick to point out that she's the biggest joke of all. The New York Times calls her, "The Joan Rivers of the Drag World." Bianca is currently traveling the globe with her new show Blame It on Bianca Del Rio!
Peaches Christ is a filmmaker and cult leader whose infamous cult movie events are self-produced at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco and regularly draw over 1,000 attendees to each new production. She regularly tours these shows and has performed her Return to Gray Gardens parody in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City, Provincetown, London, and Manchester. Peaches is the alter ego of Joshua Grannell, the writer and director of the feature film All About Evil. Film credits include Milk, I Am Divine, Diary of A Teenage Girl, I Am Divine, and Mansfield 66/67. Television: HBO's Looking, and her own Midnight Mass for HDnet produced by MARK CUBAN.
Matthew Herrmann recently produced Joe Keane's hit Lady Gaga/Grey Gardens parody Gaga Gardens in LA and San Francisco along with the Little House on the Prairie musical spoof Prairie-oke! He was one half of the conjoined twin punk group Tom and Barry, which was inspired by the Brian Aldiss book and Keith Fulton/Lou Pepe film Brothers of the Head. Other producing credits include the Al Dubin musical I Only Have Eyes for You at the Montalban Theatre, the JFK musical Jack (York Theatre Company), Nine and Sweeney Todd at Princeton University, and the upcoming 50th Anniversary production of HAIR with original producer Michael Butler. Herrmann has also directed over 35 productions for the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts and has directed locally with the youth theater program Acting Up. Onstage he has appeared in over 100 productions including the original casts of the underground hits Are You There God? It's Me, Karen Carpenter, and I Totally Know What You Did Last Donna Summer.
