SPRING AWAKENING closes out The Barn Stage Company's 2015 Summer Series. After working on the national tour of MURDER FOR TWO and Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, J. Scott Lapp returns to The Barn Stage Company directing this Tony Award-winning musical sensation. The Barn Stage Company's engagement began performances on September 17 and will run through September 27, 2015, in the newly renovated Truax Building in Old Town Temecula. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage below!

Winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, SPRING AWAKENING is a rock musical adaptation of Frank Wedekind's 1891 expressionist play about the trials and tribulations, and the exhilaration of the teen years. Audiences may remember Austyn Myers (Gavroche in the Broadway Revival of Les Miserables, First Wives Cluband Lost in Yonkers at the Old Globe) from 13, who will be coming back to play the role of Moritz. The role of Ilse will be played by Lindsay Joan (Natalie in Next to Normal at SDMT) who won a Craig Noel Award for her performance.
