Two-time Tony Award winning actress, Christine Ebersole, performed at an intimate performance benefiting Project Angel Food at the home of Tim Robinson and Bob Cohen On Saturday, January 30, 2016.
Guests joined Project Angel Food's Major Donor Program making it the most successful house party in the 26 year history of Project Angel Food. NCIS star and Project Angel Food board member Pauley Perrette started the evening off with a $25,000 challenge grant. In the end over $96,000 was raised. The Hollywood Hills party drew a crowd of 200 including Home Improvement's Patricia Richardson Sullivan & Son's Jodi Long, fashion expert Lawrence Zarian and West Hollywood City Councilman John D'Amico. Hors d'oeuvres were provided by Chef Wayne at Crumble Catering and cocktails were served up by Leslie Barclay and Diageo.
Coming off of a successful five night run at the Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills, Christine stayed an extra night to perform this intimate concert. "Christine started off with 'What's it All About Alfie' and brought the crowd to tears when she belted out 'Will You' from Grey Gardens," Richard Ayoub, executive director of Project Angel Food, says.
For more than 30 years, Ms. Ebersol has been enchanting audiences on the Broadway stage, television series and specials, films, concert appearances and recordings. She won a Tony for the smash hit revival of 42nd Street and also for Grey Gardens. Ebersol appeared in many films including Amadeus and Tootsie. Her extensive list of television credits include The Cavanaughs, Valerie and Royal Pains. She has given concert performances at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Boston Symphony Hall. Project Angel Food is thrilled to have her powerful voice support their cause. Project Angel Food serves 10,000 meals a week to critically ill clients living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, kidney failure and lung disease.
