A LITTLE NEW MUSIC brought the house down on December 8th at Rockwell Table and Stage in LA with a landmark 10th showcase of fresh and exciting musical theater material. Special guest host John Tartaglia (Broadway's AVENUE Q and SHREK THE MUSICAL), brought his sparkling humor to this dynamic evening celebrating the next generation of musical theater artists. This 10th concert showcased new works by composers and lyricists including Drew Fornarola, Mike Hadge, Lee Huff & Kelly Balk, Sam Carner & Derek Gregor, Brian Graden & Benjamin Boquist, Zach Spound, Randi Wolfe & Sari Miller, Andy Roninson, Alexi Kovin, Mitchell Glaser, and more.
The stellar lineup of singers performing for the packed house included Shelley Regner (PITCH PERFECT 1 &2), Michael Thomas Grant (FTR: DEAR JOHN HUGHES), Marie-France Arcilla (Off-Bway's WORKING), Emily Clark (SLIGHTLY DRAMATIC), Gabrielle Wagner ("MAD MEN"), Daniel May (Bway's FLOWER DRUM SONG), Sherry Mandujano ("2 BROKE GIRLS"), Jimmer Bolden (VISIONARY MAN), Conchita Belisle Newman, Chrissi Erickson, Wendy Rosoff, Tiana Okoye (CARRIE), Cooper Howell (La Mirada's RENT), plus a special guest performance by Nina Silver from Rogue Artists Ensemble's WOOD BOY DOG FISH. Bryan Blaskie returned as music director backed by his band.
A LITTLE NEW MUSIC is the best hour of new and unheard musical theatre material in LA.
