How Deep Is Your Love for the Troubies?! Join them as they dig down to their roots and dust off their fairy wings, tights and white disco suits to re-imagine Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The star-crossed lovers steam and scheme, and the Bard's most famous fairy, Puck, will be Jive Talkin' as this assorted band of merrymakers heats up into a Disco Inferno. The Night Fevers will break 104 and make you sweat, so don your halter-tops and Boogie Shoes and let the Troubies melt your hearts. Feeling the fever already? The Troubies have received numerous accolades including the Ovation Award for Best Season in 2009 for their productions ofAs U2 Like It, Alice in One Hit Wonderland 2 - Through the Looking Glass and It's a Stevie Wonderful Life. In 2010 they won the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Award for Musical Direction (Eric Heinly) for A Wither's Tale as well as Ovation Awards for Production of a Musical (Large Theatre) for Oedipus the King, Mama! and Director of a Musical (Matt Walker) for Oedipus the King, Mama! Matt Walker was also presented with the Joel Hirschhorn Award for Achievement in Musical Theatre. For their 2010 season, the Troubies were nominated for 16 Ovation Awards including Best Season for The First Joel, A Wither's Tale and Fleetwood Macbeth and Best Musical (Large Theatre) for A Wither's Tale, taking away the wins for Best Season, Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Matt Walker, A Wither's Tale), Best Featured Actress (Beth Kennedy, A Wither's Tale), Best Acting Ensemble for a Musical (A Wither's Tale) and Best Director of a Musical (Matt Walker, A Wither's Tale).
