Patrick Riviere, best known for his Off-Broadway appearances in FAMILY DINNER at The Beckett, WELCOME TO OUR CITY at The Mint and his nominated performance as Manos in OPA! at both the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival and Queens Theatre in the Park, is now co-starring as the White Baron in the American Premiere of Armand Gatti's THE IMAGINARY LIFE OF STREET SWEEPER AUGUST G, which opens at Casa 0101 Theatre on April 20th in Los Angeles.
Patrick currently hosts a YouTube cooking show called Cooking Easy With Patrick and is working on several other creative projects.
CASA 0101 was founded by renowned Latina writer Josephina Lopez in 2000. Her play, REAL WOMAN HAVE CURVES was an HBO film in 2002 and she has had over 80 professional productions of her plays throughout the US and has won several awards including a Gabriel Garcia Marquez Award.
Serafín Falcón leads a cast of 31 actors, musicians and dancers in the title role of August G., 46, a street sweeper who receives a blow to the head while striking for better working conditions. As his life flashes before his eyes, all the characters of his life meet for one last rendezvous in a sort of fantastic and desperate dance marathon. The play will coincide with an art exhibit entitled "Revolutionary Visions," curated by Lilia Ramirez and featuring mixed media and experimental contemporary photography.
