The Paley Center for Media and TV Guide Magazine have announced the dates of this year's PaleyFest: Fall TV Preview Parties Presented by TV Guide Magazine in Los Angeles at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. For the fifth consecutive year, the Paley Center will host a week-long series of free public screening events presented by TV Guide Magazine offering a sneak peek at the hottest new shows of the fall season prior to their broadcast premieres. This year's roster includes: Flash Forward (ABC), NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS), The Vampire Diaries (The CW), Glee (Fox), and Community (NBC). Members of the casts and creative teams from several featured shows will participate in Q&A's moderated by TV Guide Magazine editors prior to the screenings each evening (check www.paleycenter.org for updates).
For the first time the Paley Center has extended its popular PaleyFest brand, most closely associated with the annual spring William S. Paley Television Festival, to the Fall TV Preview event which is now renamed PaleyFest: Fall TV Preview Parties Presented by TV Guide Magazine. Sponsored by Nutrisystem, each preview party will be devoted to a single broadcast network. The evening will begin with the introductory Q&A followed by multiple series premieres in their entirety. Screenings and parties are free with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with TV Guide Magazine again for the second year for this truly unique celebration to kick-off the Fall09 TV season," said Pat Mitchell, president and chief executive officer of The Paley Center for Media. "Presenting preview screenings of the new shows is an opportunity for us to recognize the collaborative process involved in the creation of media content and to bring the community of passionate television fans together. Since this is also what we do at our long-time annual television festival in Los Angeles, we are folding our preview screenings under the PaleyFest banner."
"We are pleased to join forces with The Paley Center for Media once again on this exciting week-long event," said Debra Birnbaum, editor-in-chief, TV Guide Magazine. "The Paley Center visitors and TV Guide Magazine readers share a common interest - a love of all things television -- so this collaboration is a natural fit. This is the time of year when all eyes are on the new season. We look forward to showcasing the networks' new Fall programming and their spectacular talent."
