The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble has extended The Irish Curse, the wickedly funny and insightful new comedy by Martin Casella about five guys with "one tiny problem," through September 16.

Scott Conte, Austin Hébert, Shaun O'Hagan, Joe Pacheco and Patrick Quinlan star as five Irish-Americans, members of a self-help group who meet weekly in the basement of a Catholic church. The focus of their group? A certain anatomical shortcoming-an alleged Irish trait they all feel has ruined their lives. From its blistering language to its brutally honest look at sex and body image, The Irish Curse is a revealing portrait of how men, and society, define masculinity.

The Irish Curse is directed by Andrew Barnicle. Set design is by Thomas A. Walsh, lighting design is by Michael Gend, and costume design is by Merrily Murray-Walsh.

Performances of The Irish Curse continue Fridays and Saturdays @ 8 pm and Sundays @ 2 pm through September 16, except Labor Day Weekend (August 31-Sept. 2) which is dark. There is one remaining weeknight performance, on Thursday, Aug. 23 @ 8 pm. All tickets are $30. On Thursdays and Fridays only, students with ID are $20 and seniors are $25.

The Odyssey Theatre is located at 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd. in West Los Angeles, Calif. For reservations and information, call (310) 477-2055 or go to www.OdysseyTheatre.com.
