O’Keefe, Naughton Led A THOUSAND CUTS Begins Production In Palm Dessert 11/29

Executive producer Jim Casey and producing partner Kim Waltrip start production on their 4th project together, "A THOUSAND CUTS", an original story written by Eric Barr & Marty James and directed by Charles Evered.

The films stars Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Michael O'Keefe, Michael A. Newcomer, Olesya Rulin with cameos by Jimmy Van Patten, David Naughton and Charleene Closshey. Filming starts on November 29th and will be shot entirely in Palm Desert, CA.

"A THOUSAND CUTS" is the story of a successful self-absorbed horror movie director, who has made a fortune with his series of "A Thousand Cuts" movies, that feature women being slowly killed in a gruesome manner. After a party at his mansion, he finds himself alone with a man who he comes to realize is the grief-stricken father whose daughter was killed in a copy-cat method, and holding him responsible.

A WonderStar and J&J Production, who recently produced the feature films "Expecting Mary" and "I Didn't Come Here To Die" and the PBS TV special "Diahann Carroll: The Lady-The Music-The Legend". Casey and Waltrip will be partnering on several other projects lined up in 2011.
