The LA Times has reported that the Orange County Performing Arts Center is expected to announce the establishment of a new theater development.

This program will be the first 'completely staged developmental production' of the 'Broadway-hopeful' musical by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, called 'The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown.'

The show, landing somewhere between a workshop and a full production, will run 4/21-5/3 at the Samueli Theater at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Broadway Across America, tickets for this production will go for $30 each.

This new type of production will not only allow audiences to pay less to see a show, but also allow the writers and creative team to receive feed-back from a paying audience.
