NewFilmmakers On Location- Deadline April 22nd 2011

The Los Angeles Video Project is a community outreach multimedia program that celebrates and enlists LA's remarkable pool of filmmakers. By engaging these creative members of the Los Angeles community to act and serve as Ambassadors of LA, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA), LA INC. and LA Weekly are able to share what these artists call their LA; an insider perspective into this diverse, cosmopolitan city and its neighborhoods.


One (1) overall LA INC. Prize Winner of a Production/Post Prize Package (valued at $100,000) from Equilibrium Entertainment and a $1000 cash prize to be chosen by LA INC. for the video that best showcases and promotes Los Angeles as the premier global destination for tourists.
Two (2) 1st Place Prize Winners of $500 (one from each category) chosen by the judging panel.
Two (2) Audience Select Winners of $250 (one from each category) chosen by the audience.

Each of the following categories qualifies for all prizes
including the LA INC. Prize:

1 MINUTE OR LESS
Shorts are considered narrative, montage or animation works.
Documentaries are considered non-fiction works.
Experimental is considered non-narrative and non-documentary works.
New Media is considered narrative, documentary or animation pieces of any runtime under the following categories:
webisodes (individual episodes), web series (2 or more episodes), podcasts, mobisodes, commercials and interactive content.

2-4 MINUTES
