New Voices Playwrights Theatre presents a staged reading of Impossible Dreams by Mark Bowen on Saturday, Sept 23 at 2pm at Stage Door Repertory Theatre, 1045 N Armando St, Anaheim CA 92806. Tickets are a $5 donation at the door.

Boston, 1990: A homeless veteran has a drug induced hallucination (or is it?) of a visitation from his boyhood hero, Red Sox legend Tony Conigliaro, who has just died. Entering into this netherworld between life and death, he and the audience are then taken through a dreamlike journey through theirs and America's past. As he re-lives the missed opportunities and tragedies that have paralleled those of his hero (and his country) since the 60s, he is forced to reevaluate just what it is he wants out of life.

Directed by Karen Wray, the cast features Philip Bushell, Jason Piazza, Johnny Byron Hill, Megan Tice, Amanda Joyce, Kim Kiedrowski, Jonathan Mariott, Terri Mowrey, Caitlin Lowerre, Pam Paulson.
