The Latino Theatre Company presents Home, writer/performer Nancy Ma's coming-of-age tale about growing up sandwiched between two cultures. Geoffrey Rivas directs for a March 2 opening at The Los Angeles Theatre Center. Two low-priced previews take place on Feb. 28 and March 1.
Desperately seeking approval from her Chinese Toisan immigrant family, Nancy journeys away from her home in New York City's Chinatown in search of the American dream - only to learn that you can only find "home" when you accept where you come from.
Home opens on Saturday, March 2 at 8 p.m., with performances taking place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. through March 24. Two preview performances take place on Thursday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 1, both at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $24 - $38, except opening night (March 2) which is $60 and includes a post-performance reception. The Los Angeles Theatre Center is located at 514 S. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90013. Parking is available for $5 with box office validation at Joe's Parking structure, 530 S.
