Moxie Street Picture Shows (Melody Freeman and Kimberly Yates, Producing Partners) will launch the Los Angeles Premiere of Elizabeth Meriwether's THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE. Starring Troy Blendell, Armand DesHarnais, John Paul Karliak, Kiki Lambden, Kimberly Yates and directed by Tiger Reel, THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE will begin preview performances on Wednesday, May 11 and will officially open on Thursday, May 19 at 8:00pm. For ticket information, please call 323-960-1054 or purchase ONLINE.

Elizabeth Meriwether's crisp, irreverent and thought-provoking comedy about Edna's struggle to grapple with personal tragedy by rejecting all things complacent, pampered and clean - including showering - invites us to embrace filth, family and forgiveness with humor, heart and hordes of high-end handiwipes. THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE is the hilarious, edgy and surprisingly sweet story of hitting bottom, but finding love on the way down.

THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE will have scenic design by Dustin O'Neill and lighting design by Matt Richter. Sean Spann will serve as assistant director.

ABOUT MOXIE STREET PICTURE SHOWS

Moxie Street Picture Shows is the brainchild of native Texans, Kimberly Yates and Melody Freeman, who met in New York City and immediately discovered their mutual love of all things beautiful and strange. They put these sensibilities to work last year in their inaugural production, David Lindsay Abaire's thoughtful and zany comedy, Wonder of the World. Since then, Moxie Steet has produced 4 readings and one workshop of fresh and fascinating plays. They're bringing their commitment to irreverently hopeful narratives told through arresting images to Los Angeles. "We want to help audiences see the divine in their everyday lives through our magical, funny, truthful, peculiar stories and pictures. On Moxie St., we believe laughter heals, wonder should be cultivated, the deepest pain can give birth to joy and if you look at something from a new angle you just might see it more clearly."
