Missoula Children's Theater Returns To Poway 3/16- 3/21

The Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation welcomes back audience favorite the Missoula Children's Theatre for its tenth annual residency in Poway. The world-renown touring theatre company, which casts local children in its shows and conducts theater seminars at area schools, will be in Poway March 16 - 21 to produce the children's musical Princess and the Pea.
Auditions for Princess and the Pea will be held Monday, March 16th at 4pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Road in Poway. Children grades K-12 are invited to audition, and no experience is necessary. Approximately 50 children will be selected to spend the week working with theater professionals to prepare the show. Children will get a taste of the exciting behind-the-scenes world of producing a fully staged musical culminating in two performances for the public. This one-week, intensive theatre experience is presented free of charge by the PCPA Foundation as part of its "Arts in Education" program.

The completed productions of Princess and the Pea will be staged at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, Saturday, March 21st at 3 and 7 pm. Tickets are available to the public; $17 for adults, $5 for youth 18 and under, and can be purchased by calling (858) 748-0505 or visiting www.PowayArts.org.

The Missoula Children's Theatre International Tour Project is the largest touring children's theatre program in the U.S. Two actor-directors will travel to Poway with a complete set, costumes, props and makeup to spend a week teaching children acting, voice, movement, directing and other theatre skills. This is a group audition that begins at 4 pm sharp. Latecomers will not be admitted!
Audition are Monday, March 16th from 4 - 6 pm at the PCPA, 15498 Espola Rd., Poway
Children cast will be asked to stay until 8 pm on March 16th.
Open to children K - 12 FREE OF CHARGE
Children must be available 4 - 8:30 pm March 3 - 8, 2008
No resume, head shots, prepared songs or monologs required
Children will be cast for acting, singing and dancing
