Mine is Yours theatre company, now in their second season, is itching to share their first contemporary production with Los Angeles! Bachelorette by Leslye Headland, directed by Jessica Hanna and assistant directed by Mallin Alter, will run for four weeks this Spring: March 20 - April 12, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm. Tickets are $18 at the door, $15 online, and presale tickets (purchased before 3/13) are $12 each.

"Ten years out of high school, Regan, Gena and Katie convene in the luxurious bridal suite of their old friend, Becky, the night before her wedding in New York City. Fueled by jealousy and resentment, the girls embark on a night of debauchery that goes from playfully wasted to devastatingly destructive. Their old fears, unfulfilled desires and deep bonds with each other transform a prenuptial bender into a night they'll never forget. A wicked black comedy about female friendship and growing up in an age of excess."

So, why go contemporary after their recent adaptations of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and R&J? "Leslye Headland's Bachelorette struck an ugly-honest chord for me. It recklessly and unabashedly exposed about seven layers of the kind of truth that you don't want to admit could be found somewhere deep inside of you. I rarely meet such honest characters!" - shared Mary Ellen Schneider, MiY Artistic Director

Or, more eloquently stated: "It's rare to find a play this funny and this frightening. You can laugh yourself sick one moment, and in the next feel like you've been punched in the stomach. And even more amazingly, Leslye Headland ultimately shows you the truth of where these characters are coming from: how their cruelty and selfishness are coming from a place of deep, excruciating pain, and that people are very rarely exactly who you think they are." - Hannah Pell, MiY Executive Director

And what did Jessica Hanna, the director of Bachelorette, have to add? "I'm thrilled to be working with this young, female led company that is so devoted to theatrical storytelling. They have been making a name for themselves in the Los Angeles theater scene and I'm honored to be a part of their work." Thanks, Jessica! We love you too!
