Michael Thomas Grant will be stepping into the role of Skull in the highly anticipated EMOJILAND: LIVE IN CONCERT, premiering at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles next week. Grant replaces the previously announced Matt Magnusson, who left the company due to an "unforeseen professional conflict."

Grant performed the role's climactic song "Thank Me Now" at a sneak peek performance at Rockwell as part of the Foundation for New American Musicals' Musi-Cal showcase in October. A familiar face at Rockwell, Michael Thomas Grant was seen recently in ROMY & MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES, and on ABC Family's THE FOSTERS.

Directed by Keith Harrison, Laura Harrison, and Blake Silver, the company also includes Keith David, Clent Bowers, Mary Faber, Corbin Reid, Cornelius Jones Jr., Alex Ellis, Bridgette Bentley, Leah Lewis, J.D. Phillips, Danny Jacobs, Catherine LeFrere, Parvesh Cheena, David Haverty, Chris Yonan, Alberto Isaac, Marco Ramos, Jaime Moyer, LeShay Tomlinson, Caitlainne Rose Gurreri, Gilli Messer, and Sugar Joans.

EMOJILAND tells the story of an emoji civilization contained within a teenager's smartphone. When the phone falls behind a dresser, the inhabitants of Emojiland must figure out how to save themselves before the battery runs out and their universe shuts down, lost forever.

The May 9th premiere is sold out, but tickets for the encore performance on May 10th at 8:00pm are available for $15/$25/$35 at www.rockwell-la.com.

Rockwell Table & Stage, located at 1714 N. Vermont Ave., is L.A.'s premiere spot for extraordinary entertainment and dining. Visit www.emojiland.com to learn more.
