'Michael Carbonaro Live!' Comes To Luther Burbank Center For The Arts ImageLuther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced today that Michael Carbonaro, from the hit series "The Carbonaro Effect" on truTV, will bring his signature blend of bizarre antics, audience interaction, hilarious video clips, and mind-blowing magic to Santa Rosa on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 8 p.m. Tickets range in price from $39.50-$59.50 (general) to $174.50 (VIP) and are available for purchase beginning Friday, October 26 at 12 p.m. online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600 or at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts ticket office (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa. Tickets and information are available 24/7 online at lutherburbankcenter.org.

While he is known for his original hidden camera magic series, Carbonaro has also appeared on shows including "Happily Divorced," "30 Rock," "Grey's Anatomy," and "CSI Miami." A performing magician since his youth, he went on to study experimental theater at New York University with the aspirations of entertaining audiences through a variety of theatrical mediums, including hidden-camera magic, which he later frequently showcased on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Carbonaro's late night appearances then launched him into stardom through his hit comedic series, "The Carbonaro Effect," on truTV. A trickster at heart, Michael performs inventive tricks on unsuspecting members of the public who are unaware that he is a magician. Jaws drop when he causes a car to disappear from under a security guard's nose or makes alien crabs transform into kittens in a science lab. Whether posing as a coffee shop barista, museum curator, or seemingly unremarkable store clerk in the real world, Carbonaro's illusions-along with his absurd, matter-of-fact explanations-leave people bewildered and families at home laughing out loud.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is home to world-class performances, nationally recognized education programs, contemporary visual art, and many popular events. The Arts Center is located in the heart of the Sonoma wine country and ranked among California's top performing arts presenters. Together with its resident companies, the Center presents more than 230 performances in music, dance, theater, renowned speakers, and comedy; provides education programs serving 40,000 children and adults; and hosts more than 1,000 community events a year. Owned and operated by the Luther Burbank Memorial Foundation, the Center relies on charitable community donations to achieve its mission - to enrich, educate, and entertain.
