Italian native Max Leonida, best known for his films "Backward" (Cannes finalist), "Mandala" and "Memento Mori" and upcoming film "Light Wounds", is directing Theresa Rebeck's "Spike Heels" at the LA Little Theater in the Brentwood, Los Angeles area. The show will run Fridays and Sundays beginning January 29, 2016, at 7 pm. Tickets are available at www.SpikeHeelsLA.com. Actress London Vale is playing the role of "Georgie", with Vadim Dardagani as "Andrew", Jonathan Looper as "Edward" and Shakara Wyatt as "Lydia".

Spike Heels is a contemporary comedy of manners exploring issues of sexual harassment, the control and use of women, self-determination and identity, and changing expectations of men in a feminist era. It is also hailed as an intelligent examination of issues that are as important today as they were in 1990.

Director Leonida is an international award-winning theater and film director. Prior to moving to the U.S. and focusing on films, he wrote and directed numerous popular plays in Italy. A recording of one play he wrote at the age of 25 in 1995, commemorating 50 years after the end of the Auschwitz massacre, is still aired by television networks in Italy. He also founded the theatre schools Accademia dello Spettacolo and Teatro Estremo in Italy.

London Vale, playing "Georgie", is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame, and has an extensive resume in film. She had her theater debut as Viola in Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" at The Globe in London.

Vadim Dardagani, playing "Andrew", studied at the legendary Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts and at Moscow State University. He has starred in a number of plays and independent films, many of which competed in European film festivals, and has his MFA in Acting.

Jonathan Looper, playing "Edward", is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He also has his MFA in Acting and has starred in numerous films and plays, including most recently the films "Happy Hunting," due out in 2016; the multiple award-winning festival hit "Narcissist"; Discovery's recent "Billy the Kid" docu-pic with Kevin Costner; and "A.Friend" with Sean and Pierce Brosnan.

Shakara Wyatt, playing "Lydia", trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Before attending Central, Shakara attended San Francisco's pre-professional arts high school, SOTA. Her most recent theatre credits include: Angel in Angels in America, Demetrius in Titus Andronicus, Lily in Piranha Heights.

The LA Little Theater is located near the Brentwood area of Los Angeles at 12420 Santa Monica Boulevard. The show runs January 29, 2016 through February 28, 2016 and tickets are on sale at www.SpikeHeelsLA.com
