Mine Entertainment Group has announced a one-night only benefit performance of the one-act play, "Katrina Who?!" taking place on Wednesday, September 19 (8PM) at The Zephyr Theatre in West Hollywood. Written and directed by Melanie Maria Goodreaux, "Katrina Who?!" honors the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina through the personal stories of five NOLA residents who recount the destruction, devastation, survival and triumph in the aftermath of the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of 2005.

The cast features Maryam Myika Day (Broadway's "42nd Street") in her Los Angeles stage debut. The cast is rounded out by Eric B. Anthony ("Hairspray"), Arianna Ortiz ("Grey's Anatomy") Wiliam Christopher Stephens (Private Practice, Mentalist) and Keena Ferguson ("Two and a Half Men").

The evening is a fundraiser event with partial proceeds going to the GrassROOTS Community Foundation wellness programs. Tickets are $28.00. To purchase, or for more information, click HERE

Maryam Myika Day (Actress, Writer, Producer) appeared on Broadway as an original company member in the 2001 smash hit musical revival of "42nd Street." She then continued her musical theatre performance in the highly anticipated movie version of Mel Brooks' "The Producers" (starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick). A former principal dancer with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, she performed nationally and internationally in works by Katherine Dunham, Talley Beatty, Ronald K. Brown and Donald McKayle. Notable television and film credits include: NBC's "Law & Order," FX's "Rescue Me," Sony Pictures' "Fort Pit," and the feature films, "Noise" and "Indelible." GrassROOTS Community Foundation is a collaborative effort of Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter, co-founder and lead MC of the Grammy Award Winning group, the Roots, and sociologist, Dr. Janice Johnson Dias.
