Mark Winkler is set to host a double CD Release Party in Hollywood & NYC! Wednesday Aug., 17th Catalina's & Thur., Sept. 8th Laurie Beechman Theatre
Lots of crowd favorites like Somewhere in Brazil and Sweet Spot are on the new disc, as well as Mark's renditions of such standards as But Not For Me and On Broadway-and if the evening isn't stellar enough, he will be joined by a very special guest ---

Sweet Spot is the follow up to Winkler's 2009 CD Till I Get It Right which was chosen as one of the 10 Best Vocal CDs of that year by Jazz Times Magazine. Sweet Spot once again showcases Winkler's skill as a consummate lyricist and singer, but this time features him on 4 standards including On Broadway and But Not For Me, As well as Andre Previn's Like Young and Bobby Troup's Their Hearts Were Full of Spring. The title cut is a Winkler original that is a duet between him and Vocalist Supreme Barbara Morrison, with a guitar solo by Grant Geissman. Always known for the company he keeps, this time he ups the ante with such jazz stars as Billy Childs, Grant Geissman, Bob Sheppard, Greg Hutchinson and Anthony Wilson.
PLAY IT COOL transports you back to the days of film noir and smoky hot jazz in a secret 1953 Hollywood club called Mary's Hideaway. Where men couldn't dance with men and women were expected to know their place in society. It's a show about five individuals: their passions, ambitions and their courage to break the rules no matter what the price.
