"Dancing with the Stars" celeb professionals Louis van Amstel and Jonathan Roberts will make guest appearances at MAMMOJAM 2010, a dance club benefit on April 1 at the Rise Club in the Hollywood and Highland Complex. Beginning at 7:00pm, this dance party is guaranteed to raise the roof, all the while raising money for The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation's pioneering breast cancer research dedicated to moving beyond a cure and ending the disease, once and for all.
Van Amstel will take center stage during the evening, demonstrating his Louis' Dance Blast moves for the crowd to follow, including dance pros and students from his Sherman Oaks and Beverly Hills dance classes - and Roberts will dance with one lucky participant. Sharing the dance floor will be esteemed surgeon/researcher/author Dr. Susan Love.
MAMMOJAM 2010 will be a celebration of women of all ages joining forces to fight this deadly disease including mothers and daughters, family members and friends, and the men who love them. The event will support the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.
The brainchild of Lissa Levin Guntzelman, a television writer/producer ("Mad About You," "WKRP in Cincinnati") and 18-year breast cancer survivor, this event will feature music from the 70's to Salsa and Disco to today. The event will also feature dance music by Club DJ Prophecy. Dedications may also be placed that will be up on 7 video screens around the dance floor. Attendees also have the option to be partnered with a professional guest dancer, win prizes during hourly giveaways, enjoy free appetizers, a full no-host bar, a free neck and shoulder massage that very night, and mingle with lots of celebrities and surprise guests on the dance floor.
Ticket packages for this evening range from $55 to $750 with complimentary parking in the Hollywood and Highland Complex included. You can purchase MAMMOJAM 2010 tickets in advance at www.dslrf.org or by calling the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation at (310) 828-0060 or (866) 569-0388.
