MainStreet Theatre Company's final production of the 2016/2017 season is "just right"! George Stiles (Music) and Anthony Drewe (Book & Lyrics) who are best known for Honk! and Disney's Mary Poppins, bring their original twist to the well-known story, which includes great songs and a hilarious book that will have the whole family laughing!

Goldilocks and The Three Bears will begin school performances on April 24th, and open to the public on Saturday, April 29th at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement, geared for everyone aged 4 and up, will run through Saturday, May 13th only.

Michael Faulkner is the Director, with Choreography by Allison Bibicoff, and Musical Direction by Janice Rodgers Wainwright.

The show features a family of porridge-loving bears, a lumberjack with a heart, and his feisty daughter Goldi, who discovers the bear's house in the woods. In addition to the humor, the musical includes a great lesson about the importance of protecting the environment, and learning to live with those around you.

The gifted cast of Los Angeles based Equity actors includes Kyla Garcia as Goldi, and Bryan Dobson as her father, Mr. Locks. The three bears are played by Michael Manuel (Father Bear), Amanda Pajer (Mother Bear) and Jonathan Kim (Baby Bear). The cast will be accompanied by a live band, with Musical Director Janice Rodgers Wainwright conducting from the keyboard.

MainStreet is delighted to welcome Michael Faulkner, who has been an actor in several MainStreet productions, to the role of Director. His sense of comic timing, honed as a member of The Reduced Shakespeare Company and performances with the Troubadour Theatre Company, will be sure to keep the action moving!

The show's design team is comprised of accomplished theatre veterans, who will add their expertise and creativity to the proceedings. The set includes a cabin that you might find in nearby Big Bear, complete with the requisite beds, chairs, and ingredients to make porridge, as well as some surprises. Scenic Design is by Michael C. Smith, with Lighting Design by Brian Gale, and Costume Design by Tina Haatainen-Jones. The Production Stage Manager is Mary K Klinger.

MainStreet is partnering with the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District for a "Pancake & Porridge Brunch" on Saturday, May 13th from 10 am - noon, which will include fun activities as well as breakfast cooked by local fire fighters. Patrons with tickets to any performance of the show will get a discount to the brunch, which will be held at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center.

During weekend performances of Goldilocks, families can participate in lobby activities before the show, and children can meet the cast in the lobby for autographs after the show. There will also be a short "talk-back" after the performance on Sunday, May 7th.
